It is the day after Locke's duel with Cyrano, and Valen is outside not far from where it took place. He's a bit more relaxed now, not hidden behind the stony facade he'd worn the day before. She's better. More calm - and she's done a few things in that respect, one of them being to spend time with Henry. Slick. She's feeling funnily warm inside and it freaks her - but anyway. Snares to set, she's out, trying to keep the energy up.

She's bound to come across Valen on her way to the woods.

Valen sees her, and after a moment moves towards her. He figures that she ought to know how Locke is doing. "Hello, Anita," he calls, to get her attention.

She turns, and sees - oh, Tattoued guy. Right. Valen. (We're sorry, she calls Lucivar Batboy in her head, so...)

"Hello, Valen," she moves, extends a handshake. "How..." a pause. "How are you, how's he?"

Because she'd ask how's our moron, but she's guessing Valen doesn't buy into the tough love school.

He shakes her hand and gives her a somewhat tired smile. "He's fine, he woke up a bit after, and he's gotten some real rest since. He's tired and in pain, but he'll be fine." He pauses before adding, "And I'm fine."

Probably not, but Valen's experience with relationships was never exactly normal.
