On the edge of the woods, not too far from the mansion, Valen sits beneath a tree, leaning back against the trunk. He's half dozing at the moment, tired but he doesn't know why. The little boy slowly and uncurls himself, though he still holds himself stiffly and awkwardly. He doesn't move into the offered hug, but it's silent permission for one. At least since it's not Capatronn he won't have to try to hold his breath the whole time.

It is the day after Locke's duel with Cyrano, and Valen is outside not far from where it took place. He's a bit more relaxed now, not hidden behind the stony facade he'd worn the day before.
