The little boy slowly and uncurls himself, though he still holds himself stiffly and awkwardly. He doesn't move into the offered hug, but it's silent permission for one. At least since it's not Capatronn he won't have to try to hold his breath the whole time.

Locke puts his arms around him and while it's a loose hug, it's a hug nonetheless, and he stays there for a moment, watching Valen for his cue. He probably just smiles like new cloth and fairly clean with an undertone that's specifically Locke.

He stays stiff in Locke's arms, but as nothing happens he slowly starts to relax just a little.

And Locke might give him a bit more of a hug, though it's fractional, and he keeps the rest of his body carefully still.

He relaxes a bit more, leaning slightly toward Locke, but he doesn't otherwise move and his arms remain hanging at his sides.
