It's been an interesting and dull trip to Tallahassee. Sporadic activity followed by nothingness, oh well. Hopping on the internet briefly just to see what's going on in the outside world.

Ho hum. Should be home tomorrow by mid afternoon, I miss my bed.

I had quite a bit written here. But I have deleted it due to it being too morose. The gist of it is that I haven't gotten used to being alone, and broke. And of late the last thing I want to do is deal with idiots, so compumoose is taking a back seat to my annoyances ( Read more... )

The dog is doing well. Her vet trip yesterday yielded her best blood count yet and also she no longer has the bacterial infection. Next vet trip (barring any sort of downturn) is a month out. Which is nice, it almost gives me a breather from the bills. Thankfully prednisone for a dog her size is cheap. A months worth of meds are only 11 ( Read more... )

Yesterday was a long day. The dog was lethargic on Sunday, she was due to be at the vet on Monday for a PCV and urinalysis so I wasn't too worried. She seems to be fighting off some sort of bacterial infection now that her immune system is being suppressed, so I left the vet last night with another 22.00 in meds. 4th visit to the vet in a week. But this has been the best visit yet. Her PCV numbers were nice and up, lots of color to her skin, the heartbeat has come back to normal. The vet and the vet techs were beaming. There will be another visit on Monday to get a refill of some meds, and to do one more blood test. She's almost out of the woods. Her ( Read more... )

Monday was hellish for me, but the transfusion and the fluids went well. Monday night after getting the ok from the vet, I force fed her some wet food. Getting the food into her seemed to work, her packed cell volume count didn't drop like the vet advised it would. Seems that she got enough food and rest so she was able to make more blood cells ( Read more... )
