Those lentils were great! Maybe it's juat a matter of them being cooked to that sort of consistancy. It was a fantastic evening generally! Thanks again!
It is nothing less than the truth you speak, m'dear. *nods*
I've been crafting since I was a child. My grandmother indoctrinated me. I didn't really stand any chance---you don't want to know the many and various forms of crafting I've gone through in my life. XD
I don't cross-stitch so much anymore because rather than relax me, it makes me anxious. I keep wanting to go faster and faster while I'm doing it, and my eyes are already terrible as it is. XD;;;
My eyesight has got worse as a direct result of cross-stitching (which reminds me - put some WIP photos up of the map, as I don't think anyone believes me...)
I need to relocate my glasses before I do much more cross stitch. The next project will be on black aida as well, so good visibility is even more important!
(And I've been meaning to book myself on a weaving course at the Handweavers Studio, if I can't find one nearer - fancy joining me? Just think - you could make your own yarns to knit and crochet...)
I'm vaguely surprised sollersuk hasn't dropped by to offer to teach me how to use a drop spindle again.... I tried it when little but never really got the hang of it. At this rate, though....
I prefer crochet to knitting because it doesn't matter if the needle falls out and it's virtually impossible to drop a stitch. However, it can be very aggravating when you think you're following an American pattern and it turns out to be an English one. I am currently unpicking a very, very long sampler cardigan!
Erk. Yes, I know that tune. At least crochet's easier to frog! Are you on Ravelry, BTW? Great site, lots of free patterns- and it's clear if it's an American or English pattern!
