M will be turning 1 on Sat the 8th Feb (OMG I KNOW!!!). A & I would like to do some gentle celebration for that because why not? However, in another happy turn of events, the 8th is also the day when ariiadne, vyrin & their offspring will arrive in the UK and we think that should be celebrated too.

It's been a simultaneously quiet and hugely busy year for me. Parenting is...a thing. Not sure terms like 'good' or 'bad' really work. Let's just say it's been real.

Hey lovelies, for those of you wot don't follow me on Twitter & haven't seen me in person recently, just a quick FYI: I am currently pregnant and a new baby is expected around 20th March 2014. This is both exciting and utterly terrifying.

Current Babby will be approx. 13.5 months old when their sibling arrives, if all proceeds as expected.

So, the All Tomorrow's Parties festivals will no longer be running at holiday camps after 2013. The last 2 are this winter.

We particularly want to go with M to Part 1, which is at Camber Sands on 22-24th November. The line-up looks excellent (Television! Godspeed! Les Savy Fav! Dinosaur Jr! etc) and they currently have 4, 5, 6 & 7 berth chalets ( Read more... )

Sorry about this but we're going to have to postpone this Saturday's party for now. Alex has had what is almost certainly norovirus & is slowly recovering. As of today, I've started throwing up too, so even though it's often a 24hr experience, I'll likely still be highly contagious by Saturday. As of right now, I am in hospital waiting for a Caesarian section. Babby is breech still, which is why it's coming out now at not quite 39 weeks. This is obviously a bit daunting but also exciting. An operation I'll be awake during is quite something ( Read more... )
