The I can't believe it,"I'm Moving to Canada!" Post

A couple weeks ago I started hearing back from grad programs that I applied to. As of last Friday, I accepted to one of my top choices the University of Waterloo, for a Masters in Computer Science. As of this fall I will me moving to Waterloo, Ontario in the great white north!

Yay! Now, one thing at a time obviously, but while it makes you a temporary citizen of Canada, will you be looking into a more permanent status once your program is done?

I also guess you'll be staying on or around campus? I can see moving in with Stephen, but the commute is a bit of a hassle. I suppose it all depends on how much you like driving. :)

I'll have options if I choose to stay. There is a highly skilled workers visa that I can apply for with a masters in CS. Also, I believe my study visa would allow me to stay for up to a year afterwards if I chose to do so.

Yeah I would not be a big fan of that commute. I am planning on living in around waterloo while I am in school there.
