Bluetooth
I'm interested in noise canceling Bluetooth headphones (for music, not a headset) that aren't too large. What I've been able to find have been large over the ear models. Of course that might be the only option for noise canceling, but I figured I'd try to find something smaller than the full muff style. Does anyone have any BT headphones (noise ( Read more... ) -
Ah, that explains it
Wireless has been dead in half of my building since yesterday morning. The troubleshooters came out to look at it and found the situation very odd but said they had to come back tomorrow with more tools, like a spectrum analyzer. 18 crew members of space station evacuated

Floating debris from a satellite forced the crew of the international space station to retreat to a safety capsule Thursday, according to a NASA news release.
Orbital debris was threatening to hit the station but passed by just before 1 p.m. EDT without causing damage, NASA said.

Once there was a lake on a mountain...
I went out for a drive today to get some pictures since Sam was asleep in the van. After some driving around I ended up at Mountain Lake. For those who don't know, the lake has been accused of slowly draining for some time now. Apparently, though, it has always been draining, it's just getting less water in than out these days. Air Show
Below are some photos from the Oceana Naval Air Station Air Show that I attended with lavinrac on September 20th. Sometimes space is NOT vast
I spent pretty much all of yesterday and today at a really great confined space training at the firehouse. After some classroom work, we went through patient packaging, supplied-air systems, rope systems and how to operate in a confined area.

Phone
For a while now I've been carrying both a work phone and a personal phone due to policies at VT. I've finally reached the point where this is becoming annoying and I figured I'll just give in a use only one phone. Tired
This has been the month of sickness. It feels like I've been under the weather or downright out for the count anywhere from one to three days of every week. The whole family has been like this, but this week we've finally all been well. That is until today when I woke up feeling pretty poorly.
