Sweetie
I thank all of the good things in the universe for sending me Sweetie. I thought for a nanosecond about changing her name but it fits her so well.
She's gotten used to the house and she's exploring it confidently. She's playful and happy. It's so wonderful to come home to a loving presence.
I think she and I need each other. -
The Time I Met Issac Hayes
Issac Hayes lived away from Memphis for many years but moved back sometime in the 90's. One day, my then-husband and I were at our local grocery store. Mr. Hot-Buttered-Soul himself was there talking to some people he obviously knew well in front of the meat case. I'm always impressed by famous people who do their own grocery shopping.

House-Hunting
I've been doing a bit of house-hunting in preparation for my big next year. One placeI really like is a fun little 50's house complete with the original windows.
