Haha I love how we all have these little things we just can NOT get used to! *waves at the bus (where I come from we wave at the bus also, but then I never take the bus around here. I did a few times when I was in Phoenix and they probably thought I was crazy waving lady. Oh well)
Heh, in Israel people wave to buses too, or stand up or do something to indicate they are interested in that particular bus, because otherwise if nobody is going out on that station the bus wouldn't stop. The less unnecessary stops it makes the better for everybody, it saves time. But here in Arizona they hardly have any buses! :O They have very inneficient public transportation here... I never even used it once in the 4 years I have lived here, because there's no buses that take the routes I take or it's just not safe to take a bus and people get raped/killed at bus stations o.O
Omg that is insane...public transport here in Portland is pretty damn good...but there is this one MAX station (it is a kind of train thing) where people get mugged and stabbed quite a lot. Other than that though there is not much to worry about on the public transport here.
