実は、私は本当に物理学の研究員になれるかなという考えを。

高校で何度も「君は、絶対物理学を勉強しなさい」って言われた。それは、先生は私が頭がいいと思っていたからだ。でも、私は大学に行く時から、「何か、実は、頭が全然よくない」と気づいた。実は、物理学が私は本当に下手なの。たぶん、物理学を勉強しないほうがいいと思う。

けれど、今朝面白い物理学の新聞を読んで、とても喜んでブログに入れた。どうでも、私は物理学を愛してる。物理学の大ファンだと思う。

でも、私は本当に下手なんだよ。

たぶん、私はやはり物理学の学生をやめて、物理学のファンになったほうがいいわ。

A boy who can’t be older than four years old is travelling with his mother. He’s holding a lollipop (one of the strangest ones I’ve seen, by the way). At first he’s eating it… and gradually he’s full. You can see it because he’s waving it around restlessly when (he thinks) his mother isn’t looking.

When I was little, I hated going out; I always preferred reading a book or surfing the internet or something indoors. This was because the outside world held nothing for me; I liked the confinements of staying at home more than anything else (plus, if we went outside it was always either school, or watching my parents shop).

Columbia is an elitist school - there is no doubt about it (sorry, CU,I do  love you).  Our deans and academic advisors definitely took a lot of time congratulating us for our success and telling us how privileged we are to be paying $50,000 a year for four years so we can hang a degree on our walls.  The way they talked would suggest that we ( Read more... )

Seriously, because of the sheer enormity of  the student body in college, you pretty much meet people of many different backgrounds and it changes you a lot within the first few days.  No wonder they say college robs you of your innocence.  (Oh, Kenny)
