egads...i've done it again. just "re-joined" facebook. I need to see if my old user name is still "in use." One of my students made me add it when I was still at A&M. I don't remember user name/password or even which email address I used for it. isn't that great

yes. My brother from high schools. We shared the same last name. I miss him so much. He always made me laugh.

I've been on Facebook twice, and ended up getting rid of it both times. It's good to see you posting more on here. So many people I used to be around a lot and enjoyed have been in hiding for a while.

I'm trying. Now that the worst of the "emotional" with everything going on at home is past, I hope, I'm feeling much better. I actually feel like going out and doing things.

I'm trying all the "fun" new places that will pay me. Did I tell you I made a whole .02 for my one day in Feb at the one site? Very exciting. I don't plan on making "friends" there - not like here. Nothing can replace my journal...

I don't like "friends only" myself. I'm here because I want to reach out and make contact, and closing my journal to a select few seems so exclusive. I've met some interesting people from making little "drive-bys" through their journal; I hope other people might feel the same, if they came by mine.

Plus, I don't like feeling as if I should be ashamed of anything I'm talking about. It's *my* place. Anyone who doesn't like it, well...they can leave, right? I hate the idea of needing to censor topics because some other grownass adults can't handle it-they might be offended! *gasps* Or the cliched youngster who might stumble into something that's too adult for them-it's my job to monitor their habits, why?

So yeah, leave your journal open. You go!

You completely understand what I mean. Yes, certain things I make friends only - like when I was having my biopsy done five years ago. Things that are that important and that personal, yes, but my every day life. Isn't life about exploring and finding new people? Some of my best friends I have met by drive-by and they are in other countries. Know what I mean? I have my group that is here local and they can see me or talk to me on the phone, but it is more lets socialize with people we would have never talked to before
