2010 was the first time I'd missed the Indians home opener since 2004. Despite my experiences with the blizzard opener and the deluge opener I regretted that decision; here in Cleveland we so rarely get to feel the energy of a packed ballpark that it seems silly to pass it up when available ( Read more... )

Apparently they were going to use a bit of "Black Magic Woman" as his at-bat song, and he nixed that really damn quick.

We should check the New York schedules for June. After all, they have two brand new parks we haven't been to. Plus Philly is just a short haul away.

This is true. I could do Friday before much more easily than Monday after - there's a conference in ATL the following week.

Though I hate the team name more and more....I'd be willing to go to this game:

APL day at Progressive Field is April 27th at 7:05 pm vs. the Kansas City Royals.

* $5 from every ticket purchased from this flier will benefit the Cleveland APL
* $1 from every ticket sold to the April 27th game will also benefit the Cleveland APL, thanks to the generosity of the Cleveland Indians.
* We have to sell 750 tickets!
* The more people who “Fill the House,” the more money generated for the Cleveland APL.

Yeah, but you'd have to watch the Royals, who may be the only team worse than the Tribe. You might be better off giving $5 directly to the APL.
