Back in 2012, Minnesotan singer-songwriter
Jeremy Messersmith performed in front of 25 people in my living room. Everybody involved had a great time, so when he put out the call for hosts for his new tour, Ed and I were all in. The customary wrangling of schedules went on for a bit, but I'm pleased to announce that my living room will host
Jeremy Messersmith on Monday, September 14.
As with his previous gig, this show will require an advance ticket. You can (and in fact, must) buy it online directly from
Jeremy. If you do not buy a ticket, you will not get in, and I will not be able to intercede or otherwise help. So go buy your ticket now.
In addition, this is another edition of Jeremy's Supper Club tour, so expect to bring something for everybody to share before the show. For more info, see the
Supper Club Tour site.
If you want to check out his music, you can download his first three albums plus an assortment of other items from
Bandcamp and name your own price. His most recent album, Heart Murmurs,
is available here. I'm sure that his music is on various streaming services or whatever it is the kids are using nowadays. Or
tweet at him and ask where else his music can be found.
Last time we had 25 people, but that was three years ago and he's much better known now. Hopefully this time we can fit in more; after all, we just crammed in
36 people two weeks ago, and it will (hopefully) not be as hot in mid-September.
Buy your tickets now.
