New Radio Co-Host

Jan 26, 2017 22:15

Has it really been two years since Colleen joined me on Sunday afternoons? Apparently so. Alas, after six semester together, we have parted ways because Colleen is moving to another city for work related reasons. Thus did our joint show "Delirium Without Walls" come to an end.

I was all set to do a solo show this spring. I even submitted my application for another run on Classical Delirium. However, just after I submitted it my friend Tom (who was once fadat and dubbed me his nemesis), asked if he could join up. His long-time (15+ years) Friday morning time slot was no longer feasible due to constraints imposed upon him by his day job. Was I interested in co-hosting? Well, yes!

We did a trial run last Sunday to see if we could spend two hours together while sober, which surprisingly, may not have previously ever happened before since we mostly hang out in bars and at baseball games. Our trial run went well, so we switched the name to "Delirium Envy" and start up for real this Sunday with the coming of the new schedule. You can tune in at 2pm Cleveland time on 91.1 FM or at wruw.org.

On a side note, Colleen and I's Fall 2016 trainee Heather passed handily and is on Sunday night / Monday morning at midnight. My prior trainee Maria is Wednesday night at 9pm. And so it goes as I mark the 19th anniversary of my time at the station and the start of my 52nd show.
