if coming back to michigan for a little while would make you feel like some of these things were taken care of for a while or give you a sense of 'home base' for while you are trying to find home/job/cat place, then yes, you should come back so you can at least have a reprieve in your worries. if it wouldnt help or it would make things worse, then no, dont come to michigan.

i wish i could take in your kitty for a while, but our kitty wouldnt get along with another cat....

best of luck, hon- i miss you.

love-
~anna.

Thank You. I miss you too. Sadly, I don't think anything would just "fix itself" temporarily or otherwise by being back in MI and that's mostly why it doesn't even feel like an option on my radar right now. My parents' house is too volatile and unless I have some financial stuff worked out WAY ahead of time, this really is my best option. I am just having mood swings b/c I am worried about putting Chris in an awkward spot in his own home, my being there with him and all. Thanks for the wishes...I know I can use them!

If coming back to Michigan is in your future, I'll make you coffee.

Awe. Thank You. If coming back to MI is what I end up doing...even after I give living with the ex and his roomie (my best friends here) a try, I'll be going to EMU again. So, coffee is in the future, for sure. If I visit the area even, I'll have to bring you the coffee!

*I wanted to go to NYU for writing or forensics at one point...until I realized that I was too poor and yet not poor enough to afford it. Stupid FAFSA counting both parents' incomes even when you never see either-or especially one. Anyway, let me know how all of that works out. I love your work. You're too good for EMU. ;P

Thanks. :-) I take it you have experience wrestling with financial aid at NYU? Do you know if they have financial aid available for grad programs? My dad is the only one of my parents who works, because my mom's at home raising the other 6 kids, so FAFSA is sometimes good to me.

NYU does have fin aid for grad programs, but I am not very familiar with them...being that I stopped short of my BS...and wanted to go there before ever going to EMU. My parents are seperated and FAFSA makes you count both sets of parents despite not having anything to do with one complete set. So, I kind of get shafted in the way of FAFSA. The good news is that as of next year I don't have to claim anyone!

I'm not glad you're upset, but I am glad you got away from that psycho lady you worked with and I know whatever you do next you will be much happier. I have a few other friends in very similar situations, all in their 20's, all recently suddenly unemployed and not knowing where they're going to live next. It's scary and frustrating I can imagine.

Let me know if I can help you with anything. If you can bring your kitty to Michigan she can stay with me, temporary or permanent, unless her and my kitty are volatile are for some reason.

Songs you should place in your mind- Patience by Guns N Roses, anything by Bob Marley!

YOU ARE SO FREAKIN AMAZING!!!! cynicalyinsane August 18 2006, 02:05:21 UTC
Berry! Berry! Berry! I love you! My mom can bring my cat back to stay with you for awhile...or maybe otherwise...she's coming down to help me move 8/25-27th. I think they're going back the 27th. I'll get with her on it, but I would love it if you could care for him. He's an attention whore. If he is somehow not cooperative with your kitty, all I ask is that I know ahead of time. I'll even send money to pay for food and whatnot ( ... )

PS: Patience by GNR is so what I needed right now...

*smooches*

PSS: STUFF ABOUT THE KITTY
He's almost 2 years old
His name is RAM ROSS-SWEETS (OK MAYBE NOT) LOL
He's a black and gray tabby
His mumma was siamese
His brother is an orange tabby named Rom
He hates his brother
He kind of likes to play dress up and eat sushi(he has a kimono)
He's been neutered
He's front declawed
He's spoiled rotten
He loves looking out windows and chasing flies
He's kind of afraid of being outside for too long
He's afraid of dogs that are cat sized
He likes to visit you when you take a bath...
Ok that's enough. Thanks again, Berry. I will probably be driving him all the way. My dad can't even have him in the carrier in his car...he's too allergic. So, we'll have to schedule that sometime that's ok for you.

Sounds good! If our kitties don't get along I will try to find another home for him or take him to a no-kill shelter.

I mostly work weekends, fri/sat/sun, if that helps with figuring out a time when you can bring him. I can always request a day off ahead of time so my work will schedule me around that day too.

Talk to ya soon!
