OK, so, comming home, gas was $2.02. It hasn't been under 2 bucks since April of 2005, I swear. Is anyone else more insulted by this than impressed? I just have to say, that while financially I NEED gas to be this price b/c of my gas guzzler, that I am not a COMPLETE moron ( Read more... )

wome fought hard for us to vote so not doing it is disrespectful. in ohio ken blackwell, the secretary of state is running for governor. this is a big deal seeing as how blackwell will be he first ever black governor if he is elected. the problem is that he is soooo FAR RIGHT it is sick and he wishes horrible things on liberals. he is accused of screwing up the votes in ohio for the second presidential election, since he is the one who oversees elections. funny how there might be a conflict of interest with overseeing elections and running in one!!! but its not illegal and he isnt stepping down. so ohio is fighting really hard to get TED STRICKLAND in the governors seat.

Just thought you'd enjoy this bit of info that has nothing to do with your state. But also the john stewart show is coming to ohio around the election just because it is such a huge one here. i got free tickets to go see it!!! yay

I'd like to preface this by saying that I acknowledge my own automatonic 'sins' but that, all the same, I share your compulsion to make a difference.

The reactionary propensity that the bulk of the population in this country have toward political figure-heads and their 'doing right by' or 'doing wrong by' them is just silly, short-sighted bullshit. But, like you allude to, it's not something that most consciously choose to be so apathetically knee-jerk to, but that they're products, in part, of a culture that has turned their attention span into that of a societal-toddler's, with rewards of comfort and complacency that keeps them within those boundaries. Maddening!

Let's burn this mother down.. haha!

I couldn't have said it better. Really, it's like you got into my head and articulated and elaborated from exactly where my thought was incepted, even if my verbage wasn't there. Maddening, no doubt!

read the begining of the declairation of independence- pretty much says we have the right to revolt.

wish we could...wish we would.

bush isnt president, he just plays one on tv.

i'm all up for a rainbow revolution- let's get all of us freaky-freak 'terrorists', according to cheney speak, out of the woodwork to go do some real damage and vote the bitches out of office- if the dems (yes, they have their faults, but they arent republicans, so that's a good thing) retake the house/senate, then maybe bush has a chance at impeachment....

Yeah, I was thinking of that line, myself. I know that we're all too compliant to authority. We've had one too many bosses push our buttons and teach us to be seen and unheard, to penetrate a single solitary individual thought that could potentially reach further than across the dinning table.
