PC-driven plot

Jul 12, 2005 15:21

It has come to my attention that a number of PCs playing in the NH-002-D Requiem game are lacking for things to do. As the player of the Prince in said Domain's Requiem Venue, I have some ability to potentially generate plot for you, if you are one of the aforementioned players. What I need from you, then, is as follows:

1). Your character's name. ( Read more... )

Plot? Who needs plot when you can paint a big old bullseye on your chest in the middle of Portsmouth. Just come to Sanctified Masses - the plot sink that's good for your soul. ;-)

In all seriousness, though, this is an awesome thing to do, Steve. Rock on.

I can not express how awesome what your doing is, nor how justified those I've spoken to in the NE region are who state that you are a great player and gamer-rolemodel.

Huzzah.

By the by, if Cynric's eyes ever turn beyond his borders for personal enlightenment and/or profit... look me up.

Is your character the Water Buffalo Guy (TM)?

I suppose if that is what he's been relegated to in some circles I know who to thank.

That's probably me yes.

Considering you are the only means of determining if his Granchilde is still alive then he might just at that.

Jefferson Zane is the PCs name, although I am not sure how active he has been.

I'm watching what people post here. If something you're looking for doesn't jive with what Steve can do on an IC level with Cynric, it might jive with an NPC. It might result in other plot notions.

There are a lot of possibilities. But if you don't step up and tell people what you want, you'll never get it.

I think Pierce get enough Cynric related corruption ; ) But if you think Pierce would make a good target for an NPC I'm game.

As a result of his mind being shattered and the internal conflict that has come of it Pierce's personality is more malleable than ever, someone other than the PC's is bond to notice that. I'd like to see Pierce get neck deep in something that really tests him. Putting his loyalties, his mental state and his ambition in conflict.

Speaking of Kevin hooking up the plot-bus - did you ever manage to get that Allies draw on that Cell Phone?

I sent a couple of emails earlier about plot-stuff, but I think you were hella-busy. Should I resend them to the pymander address?

1) Cadeyrn
2) Complete Inability to "Mack on Chicks" (Reference: Mark Lewis)
3) Either Plot with Chicks, or Personal Philosophical Interaction between characters.
4) Long term (Both with Chicks, and with Philosophy)

I will, schedule permitting, very likely be appearing live and in person at games within a single-digit number of weeks. With that in mind, I will need a reason to be in Portsmouth. Perhaps being the grandchilde of Marcus and brood-sibling of Seiko will suffice to a certain extent. Since my character is supposed to be groomed to be a rare diplomatic Dirae, and since there seem to be tensions between Portsmouth and Boston in which he has not been involved, no doubt something can be worked out. Perhaps I can also work to soothe tensions between Kaatje and other Dirae, if I even learn of them IC.

1) Name: Petrus Dirae
2) Skills : Diplomacy, although this has not been fully tested. Academics. High-Vigor spear-stabbing.
3) Plots (and interests in general): Soothing tensions. Preaching the Testament of Longinus in a relatively user-friendly manner. (Possibly trying to "save" Seiko.) Gathering family history.
4) All long-term, although the diplomacy might be more immediate.

If you're going to be a diplomatic Dirae, we'll likely have to work something out as well, since Evelyn's (now) the Seneschal and she's always been on good terms with the Dirae in general.

Hrm... And I'm not sure as to what Marcus would have told Petrus about Evelyn, so you may want to check with Chris R. to find out before we do any set-up.

Yeah, I have a bunch of stuff to work out. I should talk to Chris and Wendy to find out what Petrus actually knows about anything much at all.

I have some thoughts, but I need to know the answers to a few questions:

Has Petrus ever been to Portsmouth before? Is his impending return to America a well-known event? Does anyone outside of the Dirae know where he currently is?
