Lead

So, today I read a professor found high levels of lead in plastic easter eggs and other easter toys at Hobby Lobby. Uh, great. Who knows what else and where else this contaminated crap is being sold? Do I dare trust that the plastic eggs I picked up at Michaels are fine? Everything is made in China, and only a tiny fraction of things on the market ( Read more... )

I just don't understand - why would they put lead into a plastic egg? What's the point?

And great, because I've been covering them with clay and baking them. Oh well, at least I'm sealing it in there, right?

generally, it's the coloring/dye/paint that contains the lead.

Also, we're from a generation where nobody really thought about lead (or they were JUST beginning to) and we're still alive, right?!
