Okay, so it's not great food. But the ability to get teriyaki burgers ("Hawaiian BBQ" burgers) and lau lau makes me smile. And THAT kind of mayonaisey macaroni salad. I could do without being greeted at the door with "aloha" though.

Do they have chicken katsu? Cause you know, that's what really matters. Wow. L&L in Michigan. Amazing. Then again, they've had them in Las Vegas for years now, so I guess it's inevitable that they would spread all over the US. Now if they would only get to PGH so I could have some damn plate lunch already! You know we were in Hawaii for a week and I didn't get a chance to have any L&L! *sad*

enjoy it while you can- i've heard some of them have closed on the east coast.. lack of business or soemthing..

My boyfriend LOVES the food. SO we'll be going a lot. We said the same thing- probably close soon, but there's a healthy Hawaii population at the university, which it is within walking distance of. So it may last a year or so.

Yep. They have chicken katsu. Just opened in april!
