After a sudden gut-wrenching bout of serious writer's block and mini-nervous breakdown last week, I've managed to emerge this week in top form, which was as unexpected as it is welcome.

I'm not sure if it's more funny or sad that I predicted with relative certainty that my latest piece for GayWired would be the next one to hit one of the Top Five lists that you know I love. Sure enough, it appears gay readers DO consume sleazy tabloid stories involving Olympic swimmers, strippers and threesomes (oh my!). Who knew?

Interestingly, a piece I wrote a good two weeks back just hit #5 "Most Emailed" on GayWired. I'll take it.

Also, while I've gotten nowhere with Advocate.com, a friend is pitching me as a columnist for Queerty.com. I'll take it. Gladly.

I have officially gotten my third #1 Most Viewed article on GayWired, which is one more number one hit than Ms. Spears has had. Again, not bad, considering it's a SPORTS column on a gay entertainment website. It probably didn't hurt that the headline was "Nude Dudes, Crude Dudes." But what can you do? I am number ONE!!!

This started as a brief email to my grandparents about a potential bounced check and, as often happens with me, soon turned into this monster (financial drabble deleted, natch) Seems about the only way I update this thing lately.
