I just got back from midnight mass with my mother and I really need to get this out. I'm sorry if it offends anyone, that is not my intention. But this is my journal, so if you don't like it, don't continue reading it.

Priests mostly only say that because they have the thought of facing tragedy from experience backed up so far against the walls of their minds that it's all they can do. I think. Either that, or it's a combination of their semi-refusal to believe--accept rather--that 70% of their listeners are suffering.

Why do people have to die about the time of year when things are most filled with sentiment?
