so i was finishing up some small things in the spare bedroom the other day when i realized there are a lot of things i either didn't remember about it or never even noticed in the first place. it's like for the past 6 months or so i've totally abandoned half the house. i live here i should know about this stuff. anyway i just thought it was weird. ever since i posted my resume to monster.com i keep getting emails with titles like "job opportunity for you" and "in response to your resume" but when i click on them nothing. oh spam-bot why do you get my hopes up? -
i'll never start another project.
so i'm STILL working on the dining room. tore out the ceiling in a few places and replaced it with dry wall thanks to a little help from matty bonham. i've got it mudded over to match the stucco crap thats all over the house. i need to fix one uneven spot and put the trim back up. everything is messy, and i just want it finished. so tempting to ( Read more... ) -

so yesterday i drove to Adrian to help my dad fix the roof over the front porch. when i got there we drove to jackson to the menards to get some boards. we had lunch at a strangely deserted delli with tomato soup that tasted like pizza sauce. the boards were on sale for $2 less than they would have been in town, which i guess makes it worth it to ( Read more... ) -

today i mowed the lawn and drove to jackson in a car that probably shouldn't be driven down the street to pick up some tables that rested on my shoulder all the way back to k-zoo because you can't put a 6 foot table in a 7 foot car without problems. spring
so the weather is coming around and its time for rain. tomorrow i'm hoping to seal the flat roofs before the april showers cave in another ceiling. owning my own house has taught me to never trust people who's job it is to fix something about your house. they probably don't know what they are doing. examples so far only include Nicks professional ( Read more... )
