Absolutely fantastic! The music on House is wonderful and House's afinity for music is just one of the things that makes his character even more intriguing to me because for a man so set on not showing his emotions, it's almost counter intuitive that he loves something as emotional as music so much! This fic shows that aspect of House and of House/Wilson off to its best advantage! Just great!
*big dumb grin* Oh, this comment made my week - thank you so much!

One of the reasons I fell in love with House so quickly was because of his passion for music. You're right - it's almost paradoxical that Lord High King of Repression loves music of emotion like the blues and like classical. But that's part of his charm. He wouldn't be able to express those feelings any other way.
I am SO glad everyone seemed to like the various musical references. I love the blues (and a lot of other kinds of music), and it's fun to share the love.
*blushes* You are too kind! Thank you for commenting.
I know what you mean. It's always fun to share stuff you think is underappreciated. I force movies and music on my friends all the time. XD The blues are very in character for the two of them, also. :)
Oh, wow, you weren't kidding when you said you had an awesome idea! (And look at all the gushing this garnered, hee!)
I'm not really familiar with the music, but somehow that didn't take away from the story at all. Which says a lot about how well it was written. In-character House and Wilson, skirting around each other, just being them, it's gorgeous.
This is really great, hun, and definitely worth the wait. GUH. Hot, sweet, deep and intelligent, all at the same time. Wish I could write like you.
This is insane, Sila. I cannot believe this has hit two pages of comments already! This DOESN'T HAPPEN to me!
I absolutely recommend you download the tracks, if you've never heard any of them (really? You don't know "Bad"? It's vintage U2!), because they're all fantastic. I'm not saying they're essential to reading the story, or understanding it, but I think each one adds a little bit of understanding. Like, if you listen to "Graceland", you can imagine Wilson singing it in the kitchen.
I've mentioned how ridiculously sweet you are, right? I know I have. And honestly, I wish I had your passion for your ships - I'll ship, but I've never had the kind of love you have for Rob/Sabu for any of my pairings. So see, I envy you, too. :)
Psh, don't be silly. Of course it happens to you, you're an awesome writer! It's good to finally see good fic get the attention it deserves. And I'm not sucking up, either. :)
Haha, I suck at song titles. I'd probably recognize some of the songs, should I hear them, but I can never remember titles. XD If I have the time, I might find some of them to see what it adds to the story. I can't imagine it being even better, that would make one amazing story!
On occasion. ;) But trust me, you deserve it. And HAH. XD You call it passion, others call it obsession, either way I love and hate it at the same time. Sometimes I wish it was a pairing like House/Wilson, where even bad fics get comments from random strangers. But then it wouldn't be 'my' pairing anymore and I know I'd feel sad whenever they're characterized differently. : P Weird, no?
No, it totally doesn't. I've been so used to writing in small fandoms or pairings (*cough* Wrestling, non-Kara/Lee BSG fic, Mal/Zoe in Firefly, and Carnivale *cough*) that I'm lucky if I get even ten reviews. And I'm not pissy about it or anything - it is what it is. Housefandom, though - WOW. It's really mind-bogglingly different.
Download them, if you get the chance - the links at the bottom are to where I've uploaded them to SS. I definitely recommend them all.
Passion, obsession. Tomato, tomahto.
I know what you mean. I'm so desperate for Carnivale fic, or for HDM fic that I'll read any dreck I can get my hands on, and I think sacrificing quality for quantity is probably a bad plan.
