This post has absolutely nothing to do with what you wrote, but I felt like telling you anyways. I'm really sad that you're gone from the school, you inspired me to be alot more than I thought for myself, and I'm truly very sorry to see you go. I wanted to thank you for teaching students how to open their eyes to see the world outside of their own and to accept the differences in others. I was going to post this as anonymous, but seeing as I can't, I guess I'm just laying it on the line for all to see, lol. Thanks for helping me, I know what I want to be now.

None of the prophets wanted to do what they had to. Not even Jesus. Hardly anything is black and white in this world, especially this kind of stuff. Following God is an ugly business, actually. Hardly like the candy-coated Wednesday prophesy we've all grown to love, and even less like the plastic smile image we are supposed to have. Truly following God will break your heart, crush your spirit, and leave you completely alone.

But that's ok. That stuff should happen.

im sorry for how i treated you during the school year. im sorry i never really gave you a chance. sorry i blatantly disrespected you in the middle of class. doing things that bothered you just to get under your skin (example-im rick james). looking back you were cooler and a better person than i gave you credit for. in light of recent events you have really showed me a better person than i thought existed. you have really given me a new perception of who you are.

If you haven't read my frickin' long ass journal yet, this is Bruce. You did bug me sometimes during school too, but that was probably because you shook my boat too much, too ;). Actually, I kinda liked arguing with you 'bout stuff during class. Got me to re-check why I believed certain things.

That aside, I too have found a new respect for you. Even before this whole little LiveJournal fad, I knew there was something more behind that ridiculous pony-tail. You're more of an inspiration to people than you think. That much is clear by how many little support letters you get from your adoring school fans.

I never really saw you as a teacher, because, well, you didn't teach me at all. Journalism was the biggest blow-off class evar, next to Bake's classes. But you did teach me one very important thing, and its become a big part of what I believe now. For that, thanks.

I'll probably see you again, seeming how everytime I go to that Kroger plaza I see your stupid car. =P
