So, I made my way to the psychology center for my intake appointment. The building is gorgeous, all complex arrangement of geometric stone with velvety floors and playfully styled furniture in the waiting areas and reception.

I met Pascal Hallibert years ago, shook his hand and told him his band's music was wonderful. He's the songwriter and vocalist of Templo Diez and Praise the Twilight Sparrow, two fantastic bands.
Pascal doesn't realize it, but he wrote a song for me. The tall Frenchman can't possibly have witnessed me at age sixteen as I wandered in my faux furs ( Read more... ) -

Chanvre, meaning "hemp." It's day 21 of Vendémiaire, the grape harvest (winemaking?) season.
Goodness, it has been a while. I just lost the knack for it, I suppose. Much has happened since I've been away. Most important was the loss of my dearest parent. He had lived out his space and it was a long stretch, but I feel lost without him.

I finally found out that that visual phenomena that have driven me nuts on a few occasions all have names:

Resolutions
1. Adjust three fewer deadlines than in 2010.
2. Stop neglecting my friends Make more dates with/contact my friends more often.
3. Try harder to create things even when feeling depressed.
4. Do more fun things with the kid.
5. Give it a little more effort, in general.

Was seriously disappointed about the Painting course not going through. Seems I'm the only one within a twenty-mile radius who was interested. AND the Chamber of Commerce workshops for creative professionals are already booked to capacity for the rest of this year. -

Today is Panic. (Don't.)
And it's better than yesterday. I adjusted my colour choices for the memorial portraits and even got back to the sketches. I reorganized my drawing table for the fiftieth time and divided things up into deadline/no deadline. Makes life a whole lot easier.
