Can I just say that it cracks me up when someone says, regarding SCOTUS's decisions on DOMA and Prop 8, that they're not closed minded. They're just old fashioned and follow the Bible. I really shouldn't visit other people's houses anymore. I get house envy. Where we went today for a play date...the kitchen was as big as the entire first floor of my house. Thanks, Virginia Run!

Is it me?
Is it just me, or does it feel like trying to make friends in your 30's is like dating again. You throw out some feelers, and you come back with a lot of rejection. Usually in the form of crickets. Or just plain silence. Yeah, let's go with silence.

Swim lesson drama
I took Rachael to her swim lesson yesterday, and all was fine until afterward in the locker room. While I was helping Rachael dry off and get dressed, I noticed a commotion across the room. So it appears as though Rachael has an infection in her finger. This morning we noticed it was all puffy and white by her cuticle, and then it transitions into red swelling. Doctor's appointment later on the advice of the advice nurse. -

I think it's funny that all you have to do to throw someone for a loop in a given day is go to Panera and tell them you don't want a side with your salad or sandwich. The conversation usually goes like this.
Would you like chips, apple, or bread for your side?
I don't want a side.
Really? No side at all? It's free.
