You get a stamp? Sheesh, high-tech! We get a pencil on a string. That's it.
(For those who don't know, the British voting system is notoriously low-tech, but also notoriously reliable. Votes are always counted by hand,, but by lots and lots of workers and then combined, and as such we generally have the results to general elections within a few hours of polls closing.)
Just a quick note; I've started a community called vintagecomputer (the name about says it all) and, based upon the fact that you took the time to stick old computers on your interest list, my vast intelligence network tells me you might like it.
