Productive Morning!
I have the day off for the first time in eight days (not complaining too much as I only have one week left of work at my part-time place anyway), but for once I'm trying to be super-productive on my day off ( Read more... ) -
50 Books in 2012
Hit my target of reading 50 books in 2012, made it just under the wire, too. Slightly disappointed that I read less than the year prior (56 was 2011's total), but happy I hit my goal. List is under the cut. Some I can recommend, others I'd stay away from, but all of them passed through my brain sometime last year.

Paradox?
Currently editing a short story involving time travel while drinking from my TARDIS mug. This was unintentional.

I am going to a party...
...a birthday party, not a house party, at pub(s) (thank god). I'm going to a party and I will have fun. I'm going to a party and will be social, talk with people I don't know, and enjoy myself. Apologies for the Interruption
Long story short - culf and I were homeless about 4 weeks because of a discrepancy in time from when our lease ended and her solicitors finished the paperwork for the new place. FYI - I don't recommend living in a budget hotel for 4 week straight. It does things to your brain ( Read more... ) -
Feeling slightly better
The agent did reply thanking me for sending it and saying that she is going to read it. So there goes my first fear of them replying, "Who the hell are you? We don't remember asking you for this. Go away ( Read more... ) -
I feel sick.
Can't stop rocking back and forth. culf is making me tea. I just sent my full, completed manuscript to the agent and publisher who requested it in March. Now I'm freaking out every time I get an email.
Gah. -
So close
All I need to do is read it through once more, mainly for typographical errors, and it's done. Done done. Completely done. As in, there's nothing I else I could possibly to do with except change random words for no reason and that would be pointless, done.

Conversation I just had with student loan company
Me: So, my course literally ends today and, although I've been seeking full time work for the past two months, I'm only working part-time right now. Is there anyway I can reduce my monthly payment as my loan is coming out of deferment next month ( Read more... ) -
Dissertation done
Finished it this morning. Got it bound early this afternoon. Handed it in later this afternoon. Officially done with my MFA and grad school altogether.
Now to finish the last third of the novel by my self-imposed sometime-in-October deadline.
