Memories of camping - August 24-27, 2008

Thanks to everyone who sent good wishes on our way to camping.  It was lovely of you to take the time to do so, and it worked!  We had great fun.  Here are some of the highlights, in no particular order, and with input from the kinder:

• We love kayaking!  First time for three of us, and we all adore it.  Want to buy kayaks, use often.

I am so glad you had a great trip. It sounds like a complete blast! Definitely worth making an annual tradition.

Like you, I am always amazed at how much I like and enjoy spending time with my kids. They blow me away sometimes and I am always struck with this feeling of how lucky I am to be part of their lives.

Kayaking is soo much fun! When I was in the scouts we used to go on camps to the lake and race with the damned things. It was even more fun when we just went on random explorations discovering shiny new beaches and... uhm... houses?

Ice cream truck? Every night around dinner time? It doesn't get any better! (Yes, I chose to gush over this instead of the radiant stars and incredible thunderstorms. Don't ask for logic. ;))

This sounds like the best yearly tradition ever!

LOL! Totally logical. We actually CHOSE this campground BECAUSE of the ice cream truck. Priorities is priorities, after all.
