I wanted some good quality caps of that scene from The Fix, but had to wait until I laid hands on an external DVD drive to replace the broken one in my laptop. I may have gone a little crazy, so under the cut is not at all friendly to dial up users.

How are you people doing it that your caps are so BIG? My are always small no matter how I set the player.

And I love this scene. It's absolutely amazing.
I love how wrapped in blanket Hutch is when Starsky and Huggy are done with him at the beginning. And especially how wrapped in Starsky he is as well :)

The scene by the door - I could watch it over and over again. PERFECT!

I wish I could tell you how I got the big pictures, Nicky, but I can't. Whatever the defaults are in my lovely VLC player, that's what I'm using.

There's a reason that this scene was the one I decided to be the first thing that I tried screencapping. I'm a tech moron, but right now I feel ridiculously pleased with myself. :0)

Now to see if I can make a decent icon from these lovely big caps....

About screencaps, it all depends on the original size of your video. The bigger the dimensions, the sharper the screencaps taken from it. However, if your video source has small dimensions, you can 'cheat' by using the alt+prtscn method: Just enlarge your video player window as big as possible, then press alt+prtscn and copypaste the image to your image software (like Photoshop). This method only works for taking one screencap at a time though.

Hope that helps!

I can't make such print screens. When I use this key I only get a black rectangle. I need to use the software's taking the frame option :(
And it doesn't matter if it's a DVD, avi or other format. Even when I set the resolution as high as possible, the biggest picture I can get is ~600px.

Wonderful! The Fix was the second episode that I saw from the series and after that I became absolutely fan to the boys. This comforting scene is the best ever. I could watch it over and over again a million times. Three of them were playing wonderfully, it was a splendid episode! Thank you for sharing these screencaps, you made a very good job! ♥

It's such a wonderful scene, and the actors really gave it their all, for which I'm very appreciative. :0)

So true Dale, Huggy hiding them. He knows about their bond and he is part of it too.
This little scene I love so much. Love the spiky hair.

Apparently DS was very 'method' about this scene - eyedrops and such to make his eyes red and beady-eyed. Together with the grubby shirt and the dishevelled hair, it's all very effective.
