Well, I can tell you from a girlfriend's point of view, that it's not exactly that they think you're gonna cheat, they just like spending time with you if they like you alot and it kinda makes them jealous to see that you're having fun with someone of the same gender as them.

Ian hangs out with girls, and I know he won't cheat on me, but it just makes me a little jealous that he has fun with another girl and not me, but that doesn't mean I'll keep him from his friends. Because that's really dumb.

But yeah. That's why some girlfriends are like that. At least me. I also know that there are some weird girls that freak out over that shit in a serious way, too.
