This is also why we fail as a nation and are truly in the midst of the beginning of the first post-American century. The rest of the world can't stand us. We can't even stand us. Despite the plethora of more important issues at hand, undeserving pundits help create a healthy environment of ignorance... not to mention that fashion is now a target

I think it's ridiculous about the whole scarf thing. I've been wearing one of those things for years, and they technically have no religious connotations. They're typically used to keep sand out of one's face. And you know what? No one was up in arms about pashminas, (and the like) even though those were originally considered Indian and Hindu in origin, AND are typically used as head-covers (IE, religious connotations). Seriously, no one said anything when tweenagers in the billions started wearing them...
