So, I have been notably quiet, especially considering my rather loud criticisms of the financial crisis and presidential race. I suppose I'm just politically exhausted after, almost literally, sitting on the edge of my seat waiting to see how the political near-future of my state and federal government would unfold. Breathing a sigh of relief, I ( Read more... )

I really wanted to be able to vote 3rd party, but there was no way I wasn't going to go for Obama, and libertarians make me lol too much. I wanted to vote for some green-rainbow people, damn it!

I only voted Libertarian for Senator. I definitely voted for Obama for President. Despite it being a redundant vote in Massachusetts, he really encapsulates a lot of what I stand for and I agree with him on almost everything, politically.

I think with Obama we can see third parties having a more serious role in government.

If that's the case then let's campaign to the mint to get him on some money!

I also agree with everything here, especially about the campaigns of Hillary Clinton, John Kerry, and the serious flaws of the two-party system. I wanted Barack Obama to win so thoroughly, because of all the candidates that ran on any party for this year, he was by far the best candidate in every respect ( ... )

I totally agree about what you typed, here, about Obama. That is why I voted for him. I also agree with and understand his sentiment that the changes he's called for will take some time. If he can get the ball rolling, though, then here's for Obama '12! For the first time I am actually looking forward to seeing a President embark on his term.

Yeah, I only voted third party for Senator. I knew Kerry was going to win and I knew the Republican candidate had no chance, even if I cast a vote to the Libertarian. I too have never voted third party in a presidential race. It has always been... too risky.

I think McCain ran on too much zeal and on the wrong platforms. His emphases were in all the wrong areas. I don't doubt that he really believed he was/would do good for this country. If anything, aside from his loyalty liability, he has proven he's a bit too out-of-touch with the average US citizen.

I also voted third party in this election. Did you watch the vice presidential third party debate? The libertarian vp candidate was hilarious. He kind of reminded me of that bearded dude who sells Oxy Clean.
