Fruit happiness
Today I ran an urgent errand for a good friend, and on my way home I stopped at the Berkeley Bowl. 4 half pints of raspberries, 1 pint of blueberries, and about 5 pounds of cherries later, I am a happy frood.
My tummy thinks that biscuits, fruit and whipped cream would be a good dinner tonight. -

Five things
This week has been a year since my radiation treatments finished; on Tuesday I met with the plastic surgeon. He said I need to wait until late summer before we can schedule getting me fixed up. The scar tissue is not soft enough yet. At least the available options are clear to me now, and I am thinking about September as a good month to go back ( Read more... ) -

beaurocracy for the win
Today a different person came out on behalf of PG&E. He gave me new faucet filters for the kitchen and bathroom sinks. He put new weather stripping on the door between the house and the garage. He offered to put new weather stripping around my front door, but what I have is in good shape so I refused that offer ( Read more... ) -
New jeans
At the end of my radiation treatments I realized I had gained weight. It all made sense that I had not been physically active for quite a whiie. I wrote down my weight on the bathroom mirror and, although I have not actively tried to lose, I am now down 10 pounds from there ( Read more... ) -

Boggled
I was contacted by PG&E this week to see if I qualified for a free program. Two people came out today and did a preliminary evaluation of my home. They confirmed that I am unemployed and that nobody else lives here (who could be bringing in money ( Read more... )
