Mental Overflow

I want a vacation.

I came back to work with a refreshed feeling...only to find, yet again, that attitude does not improve the inanity and inefficiency of my job.  I am now tired, frustrated, and watching the clock.  I am thinking about all the truly important (meaning personal business) things I could be accomplishing.

After work I am going to meet ( Read more... )

I just love you, Peter.
Call if you need to talk.

And I agree, a vaction from the real - and kinda crappy - world would be nice.

Next year we should have S.A.P.A. week. I have already determined to take the week off after the festival next year. Maybe we could all go in together for a few days at a hotel somewhere from Tues. to Thurs. and decompress en masse.

Then again...maybe we shouldn't see so much of each other immediately after the run.

Just thinking out loud.

Love you, too, darlin'. I have your number right here. Rest assured I'm not afraid to use it.

If I hadn't been so tired last night I might have popped up on the messager for a bit.

I should be on messenger every night this week, except maybe Thursday. Can't decide if I want to go out to the club this week or not.

Hello my brother bestcrispair May 27 2009, 01:09:54 UTC
Love u.
I will listen.
I will dispense advice if you want it.
I will bring taco bueno.
I will steal you a taco bueno apron.
I will NEVER bring the villainous dehydrated lettuce and meat by-products known as Taco Bell. Ever.
I will NEVER make tea and tell you it is coffee. Ever.
I love you, my beloved brother.

Sorry, sis...I got the Bueno on my way home last night.

We should have a "Family Reunion". I saw Cabbage Patch, Supergirl, mom & dad during the parade on Monday, but not again for the rest of the day. Black hair! Now that I is mobile there must be reunionating.

Love you, too. Enjoy your whirlwinding and we'll get together for tea (not coffee). It's been too long.

Go you! I'm very proud of you for quitting smoking. And very proud of your performance this year. Your awards were very well deserved. If there was a Most Improved Performer Award, I would have given it to you.

P.S. You went to work today? Ugh. I dragged my butt out of bed at 10 am and proceeded downstairs to the sofa where I sat for a few more hours with the laptop.

P.S.2 Could you send me the words to you song? I want to put them together in my scrapbook for the year. We really should have had someone take a picture of the two of us. My scrapbook will be lacking now.

Contract Labor = Slavery
No work...no pay...and I have a new car to take care of. I had to come to work this week. I have a plan for next year, though.

Thank you, thank you, and thank you. I am still floating. I probably will be for weeks if not months. You could say Best Returning Character is the Most Improved Performer award.

I will send the words to the song in a message, but I wrote them in my LJ and made them private so I could have them handy from any terminal. I have made that post S.A.P.A. now, so you can scroll my journal and find them if you're too impatient for me to send them directly. You'll be able to see how I screwed up my own song.

I think there is a picture of the two of us out there. I will look and get back to you. Picture scavenging is on my post-festival to-do list.

And see, this is where I differ with the awards. We treat BRC as Most Improved, but it really shouldn't be. Now, mind you, this is solely my opinion which really isn't worth much, but I still have it. The BRC should be the Character who shined the most in the lanes who was a previous character. These to me are characters like Kemp, Magnus Crane, Sir Dougal, and the other handful of "lane beasts" who are 100% on all the time. Each performer should strive to be as good as they are, and thus each year we should increase our pool to pull from for those awards. (For the record, when I submit my nominations, I treat the BRC as the rest of the instructors do which is more of a most improved character award ( ... )

While I agree that sleep will help, it often does, I also think you should find someone to talk to. It's very useful for venting, and humans are social creatures. I'm free Thursday and Friday so far, is you want to hang out and work on my car. Physical movement helps too, and I know a good ditch near my house that we can bury people in if the need arises, too, so no worries there.

But seriously, if you're that frustrated and upset, you need to do something physical and socialize in a small group. -hugs- Don't let the real world take yow down. Stick it to the man! Screw the man! Screw him so hard he thinks he's a lady!

Love ya'. Be well.

Thursday sounds great. Friday I want to make time for Ronninfernum and JetGirlComet. I have to call them and let them know.

I don't really need people buried...I need to drop some of my own ballast weight. Some of it may be in my own head. Much of it is real and has been looming for a while.

Oh...and I am the man...so...yeah...
