Since I moved back in with Mom and Dad, I have been going with Mom to church on Sunday. I am normally against organized religion, mostly for the fact that what I had grown up "knowing" started to clash with how I felt inside. This church is different though. Well, learned enough today to know that I am fractured in 3 places, but apparently one of these is old enough to have already started having bone mass in between the two fractured pieces, implying that it has been around somewhat longer then the other two fractures. Well, I found out more, and less, then I wanted to from the MRIs. I found out a little more clarification about HOW my nf affects me, such as the pockets of nerves in my pelvis, where they go down into the lower half of my body, are really really swollen. Just in case any of you were considering it as a vacation, I can't recommend 5 solid hours in an MRI tube. I was very glad I had taken my pills before hand, because I only came out of the tube long enough for them to change the fittings around my foot twice, and for them to insert the contrast once. I actually found a doc that KNOWS what NF is! This is wonderful to me, because I am so used to having to explain it to every doctor I see, it is just habit now. "I have NF which causes...." and this doc not only agreed and nodded, but explained it better to ME. It is not so much that the tumors grow along the nerves, but almost inside them, ( Read more... )
