Late-night philosophy
My housemate Jamie’s partner Sanri was sent to hospital with a sudden, drastic stroke last week, and died of it a week later. Last night Jamie came home for the first time after being in the hospital with her for the last ten days. He says her passing was peaceful, and she was surrounded by friends and family. Her funeral will be at the start of -
Not all plans successful day
Went to see Life of Pi in local cinema but they were sold out.
Bought a replacement lock for my bike shed. Got home to discover I cannot any longer open the old lock so my bike is hiding in the kitchen tonight. -
Itz Christmas

Letterpressing
So far this month I have earned £30 as a mother’s helper, which I suppose I should add to my freelancing spreadsheet. Must try harder. Xmas Lite Nite
Friday evening was Christas Light Night in Oxford. It is plainly an event designed entirely for tourists and people with office jobs in the centre of town who can skip out early-the parade of the children with lights kicks off at 6 but if you arrive at 6 you will not see anything but the back of the crowds. Letterpress
There is a game crashing Game Center called Letterpress but the letterpress class I attended yesterday evening was of the old-fashioned lead-type + great big roller varietyThe first session was a tiny linocut. I have not actually posted here that I lave left Siemens. I have been taking on small development projects while I try to apply for a new job. I Watched the Olympic Opening Ceremony By Accident
I was put off at first by the BBC’s pre-prepared would-be surreal clippage used to mask the points where nothing was happening on stage, but after a but the sheer madness of the spectacle drew me in. Siemens Day 1
Today I started my new job at Siemens Molecular Imaging. This is a bit of a strange step for me, changing from a company of 4.2 people (counting the part-timer) to one of 420,000. Time to Erect My New Calendar
I’ve just been reading Kim Newman’s Professor Moriarty: the Hound of the d’Urbervilles and watching the Jason Bourne trilogy (the trilogy too cool to number the episodes).
I should probably take a break from stories whose protagonists are ruthless and skilled killers.
