When I look outside, I find myself scanning the woods or field for the cats, as though I think they're going to come back. As though they've been in Barbados or someplace to escape the cold, and have neglected to send me postcards because they're cats.

its too horrible about gary. i am sorry.

my new cat (navi) is an indoor cat: my first indoor cat. she isnt even living with me just now (we see her every day or 2), but - she will remain an indoor cat til i have a yard with a fence. i dont care about her curtailed liberty: i just cant face another dead animal, not at this time in my (and the boys) life -

she is the smartest most tough-minded little beast, a little urchin but she secretly loves that i pamper her (like a cat-freak! so ashamed). i've never known a cat to be so individual and interesting. her sisters are unusual also.

Thank you.

It's wonderful to find one with a real personality, isn't it? They are as varied as people. Some are fairly simple, but others shine. I'm glad you've found one of those.

Indoors keeps them from various diseases and some parasites, too. I'd have kept ours indoors if I weren't allergic, but I really can't.

What's Navi's coloring?

You know he'll only run up the minutes prank-calling seagulls.
