I found a picture on chron.com of the Randall's on San Felipe down the street from my house. I drove by this on my adventure to Meghan's mom's last night and did not see it because it was so dark. I saw no lights and figured it just wasn't open yet. I can't believe I missed this. The light's were working at the intersection by this randalls but

yeah i've been saying that alot lately. i luckily have power here but we're the only street in a sea of darkness that does. i feel very fortunate. have you watched any of the aerial views from the coast guard yet of crystal beach?!? it's pretty much gone. there are parts of the road that have been completely washed away, most of the houses are gone. it's very surreal. we're having such a beautiful day today and it's hard to wrap your brain around the fact you can't just take off to the beach if you want. there are boats on 45! i'll post a link here in a minute to the aerial views.

Yea since I grew up in Clear Lake during my highschool years... I can't wrap my head around the damage that I see pictures from down there. 146 looked like a trash heap and since the neighborhood I lived in was between two lakes that dumped into clear lake and often got rising water into the yard only during a bad thunderstorm, I'm sure it's pretty bad there too. Didn't make it to my high school reunion at the Hilton which I heard was falling apart during the storm. bah

there is a lady i work with that lives in clear lake. i wonder what happened to her home if anything. she didn't stay in clear lake for the storm but i haven't been able to get a hold of anyone at work.
