Night 56: Main Hallway 2-East

Thank god, this hallway was deserted. Much better than the drama that was going on behind them. Byrne stopped for a moment to take a good look around. This time there was more of a difference between the layouts of the different floors. He could see only one open hallway from where he was standing; a door was positioned where a hallway ( Read more... )

It did, however, sound like Gamzee had been up this way before. If he hadn't gone to the patient possessions room, then he'd at least been up here to explore. That made it easier at least. Well, it made walking around up here easier. It seemed that trying to figure out what his roommate was saying half the time was the real adventure for the evening.

"Alright...well, it's this way," he said, motioning down the hall with his flashlight toward the furthest hall. The light barely broke the darkness a meter ahead, but it at least indicated which way he meant. "Is that the same way you went last time?"

Names that they were called here? Now that Gamzee thought about it, the staff running the place hadn't been using his real name, had they? He'd hardly been paying attention to it.

Actually...

He fumbled for the chain around his neck, pulling out the tags. Oh hey, yeah. There was the name. He thought he'd seen it written out somewhere. "So like this name? Is this all bein' like FLARP where get our pretend on and dress up with other names?" Cause he was pretty sure the players got to pick those names themselves, not that Billy Grimaldi sounded all that terrible. Actually, he kind of liked it.

Oh, but the subject was changing. Gamzee looked off down the direction Ritsuka pointed in and shook his head after a moment. "Nah, bro. We didn't all stay the motherfuck down thatways. We went all into that place there." He pointed directly across the hall from where they were now, into the nurses' block.

Gamzee pulled his dog tags out and Ritsuka nodded. It was handy that they had the names and all that information right at their fingertips now. Handy, but uncanny. Or more like seriously creepy. Gamzee couldn't be any older than Ritsuka himself, so why were they being given military dog tags? It should be illegal for people this young to be drafted into any sort of military service or experiment or whatever this place was supposed to be.

But all of Ritsuka's thoughts derailed when Gamzee started using more words he just didn't understand. "....A FLARP? What's a FLARP?"

Wait, no. This wasn't the time to get distracted over what his roommate was saying. They had to get away from the major hallways where the monsters and brainwashed people tended to hang out. "Wait, let's talk over here."
