Night 57: F-A Block Hallway

The women's block was deserted. Taura ran through and out the doors before anyone could notice she'd even been there at all.

By the time they were finished, Utena sighed heavily. "Sorry. I don't know where they could be, then, if they're not here. Do you want to go look somewhere else, like upstairs?" she asked, even though the thought of going up near 2-Centre still made her shudder a little.

Then an idea hit her, and her eyebrows raised slightly. She wasn't sure if it was a good idea, but it was an idea nonetheless. "Or there's that thing going on in the Infirmary tonight, the thing that Aguilar was talking about. Maybe something to do with that happened? Like they got taken for testing or something?!" she asked with increasing alarm, wondering if Soma was as curious as she was about what exactly the drug trials entailed, who would participate in them, and whether Aguilar was telling the truth about them being voluntary.

No luck with the other rooms--and she had a feeling Rapunzel and Tsubaki would have left notes if they'd known where they were going, or had the time. At least with Utena's help, it had taken half as long to search the rest of the block than it would have, and Soma was grateful for that.

She frowned a little in thought at Utena's suggestion--that was true, Aguilar had mentioned a medical wing in tonight's announcement. "It stands to reason they'd be looking for subjects," she said quietly. "I doubt most patients here would willingly inject themselves with unknown substances that haven't even made it past the developmental stages."

On top of her concern for Soma's partners, Utena had to admit - she was kind of curious about the drug trials herself. She didn't need a weapon, but she did wonder about the "pins" that were supposedly at stake. And aside from that, the Medical Wing was a new area in the Institute. It was probably worth worth checking out for that reason alone. Who knew? It could even be the place where Himemiya...

"Come on, let's go, then," she said with a firm nod, gesturing over her shoulder for Soma to follow as she started a light jog down the hall. "Even if they're not there, we can see if there's anyone else who needs help."
