He skidded to a stop just in front of the door to Mike's room, panting slightly as he stopped for a second, hands on his knees, to catch his breath. If something had happened, he was going to kill--
There was a note beneath the door, right where he could see. Niikura squinted and squatted down to read: "'Something came up...go ahead without'...ah, great." He straightened up with half a mind to kick the door in anyway and make sure that Mike was alright, but then he realized that maybe the worst had actually happened. Maybe Mike had really turned back into a giant turtle and was feeling kind of self-conscious...couldn't blame him for that, really.
Oh well. Made it kind of easier, actually: he only had to look out for one person instead of two. Niikura shrugged and began jogging back.
