Night 59: Main Hallway, 1-West

Kirk ran into the main hallway and found nothing there except more pink light coating everything. His gut feeling said that if something was happening, it should've happened already, but he was a loss to explain what was going on. The system (if he could call it that, vague as it was to describe the whole Landel's torture/ ( Read more... )

Now what did he have here? He slowed his jogging down as he approached, a grin growing at the edges of his lips as he recognized his good burger friend. The one he'd met in that quaint little town what seemed like ages ago. Okay, so it was amusing to see her kick at a wall but she did so with a lot of enthusiasm.

"Heh, I don't know what the wall did but I'd be willing to give you a hand-- foot. I'm pretty strong." It had been a while since he'd seen her but he was no less delighted. Hopefully she remembered him as well? They hadn't spoken much but he was eager to re-do any mishappened first impressions.

That and he just realized that the wall was glowing pink. Perplexing, to say the least. He did a double take at it, eyes widening as he gave it a good look over. "I'm gonna just say that probably ain't normal." said with the air of authority of someone who was confident in their own importance, frowning in thought.

"It got what it deserved," Donna turned a proud smile of victory back on the familiar face. She might have been frustrated, but she'd rather have others see her wall-kicking as having been more intentional than sporadic. "And just where would it be normal for walls to glow pink ( ... )

"It'd be normal if there were neon lights being powered next to it," but the fact stood there weren't any neon lights and if something was glowing it might be really, really hot. He stooped over a bit, bending at the hips to get a closer look, brows furrowed together as he tried to make sense of it. Overall he wasn't incredibly cautious but this place did have an ominous ... "air" about it. And if that previous session had been any indicator the people in charge-- there was nothing benefactory about them being their benefactors ( ... )

She'd thought it before at the restaurant, but now she was positive: this guy had to meet the Doctor. Just his puppy-like resemblance was enough for her to know that much. The added, non-relevant commentary to what was obviously sarcasm was just a plus.

Keeping herself from an eye-roll, Donna continued to play confident as she stepped away from the wall. "Yeah? Well I've seen every last X-files, so I know the drill. Good thing my partner's more of a trouble magnet than me, wherever the heck he's run off to." She'd seen a few horror films herself, but none of those had measured up to the stuff she'd seen in her travels, this place included. Experience always trumped the television and silver screen.

And speaking of... "Ugh. What went crazy in here?" Donna's face scrunched up and she brought a hand to her mouth.

Despite experience, the most gruesome stuff she'd seen before had been contained to her entertainment schedules back home. The real life of it was a little more... scented. And gross. Donna did her best to clear at least a ( ... )

Alfred knew the drill, several drills, but his train of thought had gotten hinged on trying to suss out what the X-Files were. more importantly, his interest was piqued with mention of a partner in crime. Had they gotten separated? He'd reunite them, damn it, and he'd do it in style ( ... )

Ack, I'm so sorry! DX mateswithnobody November 27 2011, 06:06:32 UTC
"I don't think this hallway could take anything more right now..." shrugging, Donna snorted to clear her nose and tried to ignore the smell. Somewhere else had to be more pleasant than this.

Since she wanted some fresh air, Donna's mind was to head for the closest door. That would be the front one. She didn't decide to wait for Alfred to chose the way or ask before she started heading for the middle hallway. "Let's just go somewhere other than here first, all right? Looking for thing come when I don't feel like gagging up dinner."
