The nauseating jolt that accompanied each shift was starting to feel like a faint background percussion to some whacked-out rock band gig, but the cumulative effect was very nearly strong enough to send Yuffie crashing down to her knees for the second time that night.

One could make the assumption that walking back through the same door would always lead you to where you'd just been, but this wasn't the first time they'd done so. She got back to her feet using both her shuriken and Cloud's shoulder (which she may, may have just squeezed in apology; who'd be able to tell?) as crutches. It was bad form for her to be acting like this, she knew. Sure, she felt like a dragon had chewed her up and spat her back out again, but the team was more important. Letting the motion sickness get to her, letting the rain get to her, letting the night get to her were all just ways to award yet more points to the jerk pulling the strings ( ... )

None of the other buildings were in as good a shape as the church, and the one across the road was no exception. There was hardly a door to speak of, but somehow Cloud figured it would do the job. He stepped through first, once again making sure the others were close behind.
