"full style fifties circle skirt"
I bought a fifties style frock from a vintage store. Gorgeous patterned silk, it fits well (even with my height) and it has a full skirt. But I can't get the skirt to fall like those photos from the fifties where the skirt is held out to show its fullness. An ordinary slip doesn't help. One of my girl-friends suggested some petticoats like square dancers wear - can't see myself wearing those, even if I knew where to get them. Any ideas on what to wear under a full skirt, to make it fill out?

Im not sure, sometimes you can pick up petticoats with a bit of soft tulle in the inside of them. That would make the skirt sit up a little bit more but other than that I dont know. A tutu? :P
