I didn't get the t-mobile job. I can't help but be a little bummed out, because I really tried super hard for it. I rarely jump through that many hoops to work at a job that will eat my soul. I guess the price of my soul is $10/h and health benefits. Oh well. I had a job interview at a watch kiosk in the mall yesterday, totally randomly. I don't ( Read more... )

It wasn't really meant for people to understand. His new album is named "travistan", like any of the countries in the middle east that end in "stan".

Yeah, the album isn't any good, but it'll still be an entertaining show. And, it's free. So, I have a feeling that's how I'll be spending my friday night.

You should come up and visit me soon. I haven't seen you in ages.

Yeah I was kinda thinking of going to the instore in seattle. Cause of the freeness of it.

I know i haven't seen you in the longest time. that should change.

I figure I can't be mad if it sucks because I didn't spend any money on it. And, he'll probably spend most of the time doing covers anyway.

Well, I'm coming into Seattle on the 5th to go to Vera. I know that for sure. However, it would be nice to actually like go out for a meal or coffee or something. Maybe before mag fields?

i would buy a watch from you.

sorry about the t-mobile job. really and truly, you deserve better than this. maybe you could see about working at the blinking-light cell-phone-cover kiosk. god, the ways to lose your soul.

i'm pretty disappointed with travistan. and i don't even own it. i would come up to see him with you, but school has basically taken over my life. i wish i wasn't such a shitty student. sorry.

i had to watch undercover brother with daniel once. to be fair, it does have a dancing chris kattan. mostly, though... wow.

Yeah, the t-mobile job is kind of a bummer. Thanks.

I haven't really heard Travistan yet, but I've heard it's really not very good. The show would probably still be entertaining though. Friday nights are not for school concerns.

I only watched about 5 minutes of undercover brother. It did seem pretty awful though.

If only Travistan were just 30 minutes of him trying to do G-rated covers of Christina Aguilera and Prince songs...

oh, man, that was great. the attempt at a censored version of "erotic city" was especially nice, i thought. "we can play scrabble until dawn." beautiful.

his double-speed playing of "what's your fantasy" was also respectable, for its rush to get the hell off the stage before the parents of the dancing five-year-olds could stab him in the eyes.

You could become an e-Bay power seller?! I offer my sympathies about the job, but on the bright side, that *is* one depressing job that you won't have to face at an hourly wage every day. Hourly wages, no matter how good, are rarely good enough to redeem themselves for the hours they buy from you. Where "jobs" are concerned, at least. I suppose plenty of people find careers that pay by the hour and that feel like the right thing to be spending time on. I'm just bitter, maybe...

Anyway, yeah...I'm sure something right will surface soon. Don't you fret, lil miss. :)

It's true. That job would have sucked my soul out and fed it to me for breakfast. I've had decent hourly wage jobs before. I really loved my last one. I just haven't gotten used to the idea that barely anyone in Bellingham doesn't have a soul sucking job. And most of the people that don't have soul sucking jobs are unemployed. We just happen to know the handful of people who have really great jobs. I can't really afford to feel like something is the right or wrong thing to be spending time on right now, which totally sucks. I hate that feeling. But, I'm flat broke, and if I don't get a job, I'm going to need to move home, which is uber depressing.

Thanks for the concern. However, I don't think I have the start up cash for an ebay powerseller. Though, it has crossed my mind.

I wouldn't say a record "isn't any good." Especially when you have someone like Travis Morrison who has been making music/touring for more than a decade. It'd be more accurate to say that it isn't your thing.
