Hm. There are a few puckery lemon faces among my friends about "Redmoon for (cough, cough, SHILL) Hire". With one of my feet in the fundraising world and the other in Artsy-Fartsyville, I am ambivalent about Redmoon doing corporate events and the like. Admittedly, it's a bit disconcerting for me to see Dr. Seuss-like performers capering around the new CB2 on Halsted, handing out flyers. The upside, however, is that the good folks at Redmoon can spread their magic pixie dust outdoors for FREE (well, donations optional). You can't tell me that their spectacle in Ping Tom Park would have been attended by low-income Chinese immigrant families if these individuals had to navigate the CTA and then spend $20 to get into the MCA. Gotta have dough to make bread -- especially during a time where foundations and corporate giving programs have more hungry mouths to feed and less resources with which to do it.

I'm already tearing the hell out of my $250 orange cone-bra corset during Cementville just by putting it on and taking it off, and I'm the one wearing it ( ... )
