I'd like the steak, a baked potato, and absolution

Gays are Running Wild in Utah and there's nothing you can do about it.
Seriously, I'm cool with people living how they want to live, but to try and customize a religion just doesn't make any sense from a religious stand point.

Morals and upright living aren't cool in the New Millenium.

Desire for flexibility was one of the driving forces behind Reform Judaism, if I'm not mistaken. The idea that one should study tradition, then adapt it to better define their personal faith, is an attractive proposition for some.

I understand why a more well-defined faith would be an asset as well, and I think it's unrealistic of homosexuals to expect the Mormon Church to be flexible on an issue of morality. I do expect an offshoot of the LDS to form within the next decade, though. There are enough moralistic gays to make such an organization feasable; and one of the dangers of having a large, successful religion is these dogmatic "cracks" appear.

No one wanted to mention that these "conservative" cities have low crime rates and are more desireable places to live than nearby "liberal" cities, I noticed. Wonder why that could be.

Don't bring it up because they'll tell you that the low crime is of course due to the gay and lesbian presence. That and all the orgies (not proven to be related to gay and lesbian presence).

I feel safer with a large gay & lesbian presence. I was completely comfortable walking the streets of Capitol Hill in Seattle, because homosexuals felt free to do so as well.

I want a church where what is considered sin can change every week. The catch is, you don't know what 's a sin until the week after! Every sunday you have to pay close attention to see if you've been sinning all week or not. It forces people to pay attention!
I think I'm going to call it "Press your luck w/ Jesus"

The problem I for-see with this is that the amoral people will of course steal the next week's list and sell it on ebay, or transfer it over some p2p network, giving them the heads up on which sins to avoid, causing the more pious followers to be guilty of more sin. Sad, very sad.

Your concerns would be uneccesary if we implement the new policy along with my proposed change to the law of the land: only one sort of crime is actually illegal at any given hour, but if you get caught committing it, you are put to death.
