So I frequent "Adultswim.com" for fun times with their shows and some of their games. One of the newest games there is "Bible Fight" where you pick one of the big names from The Good Book and battle for supremacy ( Read more... )

HAHA....Mary is a douche. That is funny. (coming from a catholic that should be the highest insult, seems how we pray to Mary, but a joke/videogame is one thing. Now if you blatently referred to Virgin Mary as a douche. I may have a problem or be like well that is your fucking opinion asshole. :-P) Anyway, I think you are a humorous person and should not be any different.

I think the thing that offended us (or just me, I don't know) the most was the tone of voice you said it in and that it came out of nowhere. One minute Noell and I are watching Snatch and the next you're out of your room calling Mary a douche and I can't remember what else. It just took us off guard. I'm ok with Raptor Jesus and things like that, but when you came out of your room I had mo idea that you had been playing a (sacreligious) video game and it caught me by surprise. Keep in mind that this game was made by the same people that brought us Moral Orel, and I hate that show. I just think that some things take it too far, and a video game that has you picking characters from the Bible and having them fight is on that list. Just think how a Muslim might feel if instead the game was about Mohammed and the prophets fighting. You'd never see that one. But it seems ok for mainstream media to pick on Christianity to their heart's content. I'm more disappointed in Williams Street at this point. Those are my thoughts.

If you wish to get technical into the Muslim beliefs, they believe in the Holy Bible also. They just feel that the Koran is the most recent version of the God telling his people what he would like us to do and be. So the video game is actually sacreligious to the Muslim people also. I am also sure if you look further that the Muslim community has such blasphemous things going around also. Although the country they come from is not as lax or has freedoms to do so. There if would be an offense to the country. Should we take that freedom away from people that have no faith in GOD?!? No, we shouldn't. As a Christian, we turn the other cheek and forgive them of their sins.

I'll admit I don't know much about other religions. I was just trying to prove my point. It hurts when people make fun of something that you believe very strongly in. Sure it's a video game and they have the right to make it and play it. It doesn't make me feel any better about it.
